This page features some of my favorite TV shows and characters

(past and present).

Showtime has some excellent programming.  Weeds and Dexter are two of my current favorites.  You have to give a network credit for creativity when it has hit shows about a suburban mom who is a weed dealer and a drama where the main character is a “lovable” psycho killer.

I was also a Sopranos fan. How could you not love Tony and the gang? They may have been criminals, but they were good at what they did. J

I used to be a big X Files fan.  Next to "The Professor," Fox Mulder was my favorite Ph.D. holding television character! Did y'all know he has a degree in psychology? Wouldn't he make the coolest guest speaker in an organizational behavior class?

I was also a Sopranos fan. How could you not love Tony and the gang? They may have been criminals, but they were good at what they did. J

Queer as Folk was another favorite cable series I watched every week.  I miss Brian, Emmett, Ted, Justin, Melanie and Lindsay.  Showtime had an LGBTQ series that was really good, The L-Word. That is not on anymore either…

If you are interested in one of the best dramatic series on urban life then you have to see The Wire. It is outstanding by every measure. You can get the entire series on DVD.

Did you know that Arlan, TX is really Garland, TX? One of my former students is from there, but he doesn't know Hank! J Does anybody know the city where Peg buys her big shoes? For a bonus point on the next exam, write your answer on the scantron by your name. Only one point per class, per semester allowed.

What can I say? I watched the Partridge Family when I was a kid and I still like to listen to my old records. I just bought a greatest hits CD so I can listen in my car too!

"Danger Will Robinson!"

I used to love Lost in Space when it was a cheesy TV show! Who could resist a show with an anti-matter world where you find your exact opposite? Remember the evil robot? The movie remake was not my favorite.  It was actually supposed to look real--not in keeping with the fake sets and bad acting of the show at all. :)

I wonder why most of the shows I like are not on any more?
