Theology
is the study of religious doctrine, generally done by those who have a deep faith in that
doctrine, or, who, at least try to explain the doctrine from the point of view of faith.
Anthropology tries to understand religion from the point of
view of social science. It is not anti-faith. It just deals in a different
sort of explanation.
