All auditions are for entrance into the School of
Music at Texas State University-San Marcos and for admission into the Tuba/Euphonium
Studio.
Each year there are a limited number of spots
open for prospective music majors. Should a candidate be accepted as a music
major, consideration will be given to that person regarding a music scholarship.
Entrance into the music program does not necessarily
guarantee award of a scholarship. All scholarship awards are made final
by the Director of the School of Music. Auditionees who are not accepted
into the music program are still eligible to perform in various ensembles
including all concert organizations and the internationally acclaimed Bobcat
Marching Band. This, of course, is contingent upon acceptance into Texas
State University-San Marcos
.
