I am a Ph.D. student in Aquatic Resources at Texas State University in San Marcos working for Dr. Tim Bonner and working with Dr. Chris Nice. My wife Megan is also a graduate student. I spend my free time camping, fishing, and fly tying.
My current research is in population and conservation genetics of the Guadalupe Bass. More information is available on my research page.
I earned my B.S. in fisheries management at Texas Tech University in 2004. I worked as an undergraduate research assistant on projects red snapper and fishes of the upper Brazos River. My work on the Brazos eventually lead to an undergraduate research project in which I worked with Ph.D. student Bart Durham on the diet and reproduction of the Red River Pupfish.
I have taught several graduate and undergraduate labs at Texas State University.
