Accessing Weather Information
In the computer lab (Room 212), access the Internet using one of the web browsers available.
If the web page Bobcat Update isn't already up, go to it at the following
address:

Go to Handouts and Instructions and find the link to Weather Prep.
Print Weather Prep and use it to gather information.

Find: "TX Temperatures"
Look up the current temperatures for El Paso, Amarillo, Brownsville, Austin, Dallas and Houston.
Record the information on the Weather Prep sheet.

Find: "National Temperatures"
Look up the current temperatures for Billings, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York City, San Francisco, San Marcos*, Seattle, St. Louis.
*While you're looking up the San Marcos temperature, you might also scroll down and get the three-day outlook information (tonight, tomorrow and the next day. Be sure to record the likelihood of precip and sky conditions.
Record the information on the Weather Prep sheet.

You can find the Three-Day Outlook on the San Marcos page when looking up National Temperatures (see above) or by reviewing the Five-Day Outlook provided by Austin360.com. Look for Tonight's Low, Tomorrow's High, and either Friday's or Saturday's High.

And look up:
"CNN Weather"
Usually you will find one or two summaries of national weather conditions.
Choose THE FULL STORY for one or both of these summaries and then...
Hit Print.
