Immediately following the spot break,
the weather forecast begins with a full-
screen graphic showing the current
temperature. The forecaster is off-
camera during this first segment.

Next the Texas map will appear with
current temperatures around the state.

The Texas map serves as cue for the
forecaster to appear on camera. He or
she should stay in the box marked on
the floor and can see the map in either
a TV monitor or the studio camera (1).

Immediately following the Texas temps
is a graphic for national temperatures
highlighting certain major cities.

The forecast map comes next. Here
the weather forecaster must highlight
expected weather conditions for the
following day.  When he or she has
no more to say, it's time to return to
the news desk with the anchors.

While the forecaster gets into position
at the news desk, a full-screen graphic
is shown of the three-day outlook for
San Marcos.  The forecaster describes
expected local conditions while walking.

The weather segment ends with the
forecaster and news anchors engaging
in small talk, followed by a teaser and
spot break.
