EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS' RESPONSIBILITIES
AT OLD MAIN:
Review the CNN feed for possible video.
Prepare the Rundown Sheet. Be sure to include slots for HELLO, TEASE1,
and BYE. Your kicker story usually comes immediately prior to BYE at the
end.
Print the Rundown Sheet twelve times.
Have the anchors/co-producers write HELLO, BYE, TEASE1, etc.
Using the Rundown Sheet, make sure that all of your scripts have been
printed/copied four times.
Sort the scripts. Proofread.
Provide the names and titles on the pink sheets. Also, order the boxes/still
stores that you want to correspond with your readers.
Prepare the teleprompter text to indicate to the anchors who reads
the stories in the rundown.
As showtime approaches (app. 3:30 p.m.), make sure all materials are
ready for transport to Alkek-Studio B:
(1) four newscast scripts arranged in order;
(2) the pink sheets;
(3) 12 copies of the rundown sheet;
(4) the intro & bridge music discs;
(5) show tape
After the newscast, archive local VO and PKG scripts and video.
