CREATING A DVD

Once timeline is completed and reviewed.  

Make a Quicktime movie

          File

          Export

          Quicktime Movie (NOT AVI)

          Save as : First and Last name

          Save to Desktop

          Click “save”

next: put your DVD-R into the slot on the right of the monitor and push in.

When the screen pops up, make sure it says Action : open “iDVD

Click on “ok”

 

On the next screen ; create new project

Save as: First and Last Name

Place on desktop

Click “create”

 

Change theme from 6.0 themes to 5.0 themes

In the right column, click on “sliding panes” theme.

 

On the main screen, click on the words “Sliding Panes”

Type First and Last Name

 

Next : on the menu bar at the top, click Project : Edit Drop Zones

Drag your final quicktime video on the desktop into slots 1-7

Click on the “x” to exit editing. (Bottom of main screen)

 

Click the “+” sign in the lower left corner

Click “add movie”

 

Click on the box “add movie here”

Rename your final video clip PLAY -- in all caps.

Drag your final clip -- now titled PLAY into the box "Add Movie Here."

          (your name should show up)

Click on the pie at the bottom (to the right of the volume) to create your DVD.

            Posting to YouTube:


After your
DVD’s are made

Delete your personal information from the final cut project.

Create a new movie.

(file, export, using quicktime conversion .AVI)

Save as your initials.  

Move the new .AVI file to the News23 server.

(Dr. England will upload the video to YouTube.)
