• 1993: One of the ten first prizes, the 3rd National "Challenge Cup", P.R. China.
"Challenge Cup" is a biennial competition for academic and scientific achievements amony all university students in P.R. China. The competition is known as "Olympic in science and technology for Chinese college students". The university winning the most points in the competition wins the "Challenge Cup". In the 3rd "Challenge Cup" competition in 1993, our team (USTC) won the 3rd place among all universities in P.R. China.
• 1986: One of the six high school students in Team China attending the 27th International Mathematical Olympiad held in Warsaw, Poland.

• I have been a distance runner for over 20 years. I win my age group in 5km , 10km races in San Marcos from time to time. I started to run Marathon (42.2 km, or 26.2 miles) from August 2002. I ran two Marathon races:
