Experience:

Luzita joined Texas State University in fall 2007 as Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator of Athletic Training Education. Prior to that (2005-2007), Luzita was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sports Medicine at West Chester University in West Chester, PA. She also served as the head athletic trainer for West Chester’s women’s field hockey and lacrosse teams during her tenure at West Chester University. Prior to West Chester, Luzita completed her PhD at Penn State University (2002-2005) and was an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Assistant Professor at Hope College in Holland, MI. Luzita is an active member in the profession and serves on the NATA Professional Education Committee, is an external reviewer for the NATA Research and Education Foundation Free Communications, and reviews manuscripts for the Journal of Athletic Training and The Athletic Training Education Journal. Luzita’s research interests include evidence based practice, clinical outcomes assessment and clinical education.
