Admission into the program is competitive following at least one year of university pre-requisites. Completion of the program takes three years after being admitted. All Athletic Training students will have the opportunity to gain clinical experience in a variety of settings, including intercollegiate athletics, high school, physical therapy clinic, and local professional athletic teams.

The coursework and clinical experience at Texas State are designed to prepare highly qualified and employable BOC Certified and Texas State licensed athletic trainers. Gaining acceptance to the Athletic Training Education Program at Texas State is highly competitive.
