Choir students who will be in the sixth through the ninth grade during the 2009-2010 school year are invited to attend the 2010 Texas State Hill Country Choral Camp (HCCC) in San Marcos, TX.
The camp, which will begin July 7, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. and end on July 10, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., is designed to provide singers with a rich and varied choral experience. Held in the impressive music facility on the Texas State University San Marcos campus, this event is sponsored by the School of Music.
Each day, students will have a combination of full and sectional rehearsals. Additionally, they will receive instruction on diction, proper singing, and other music techniques that will help them be more successful in their singing. A final concert will be held on July 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Evans Auditorium and is open to the public. The recording will be available for purchase through Texas Tape Sales.
