Dr. Jesus A. Jimenez is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Engineering program at Texas State. He received his M.S. in Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, and his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University. His research interests include finding applications of Computer Simulation, Operations Research, and Statistics, particularly those related to planning, modeling and analysis of manufacturing and service enterprises.
Dr. Jimenez is the founding co-director of the Center for High Performance Systems: Planning, Modeling, and Analysis (CHiPS). He is also the lead advisor for the Industrial Engineering Program, and the founder & advisor of the Institute of Industrial Engineers Student Chapter at Texas State.
Dr. Jimenez’s mission is to bring out the best in people for the combined good of individuals, systems, and society. In order to achieve success in his mission, his goals should be carried out in an environment of high-level learning, discovery, industry engagement, networking and collaboration. He believes that a synergistic approach to research, teaching and service leads to this type of environment.
