Mitte Scholars and some friends from Mitte Honors participated in Bobcat Build. We were assigned to La Vista retirement center. This is a set of 200 apartments that targets deaf residents. We gardened, cleaned and washed windows for ~30 different apartment units who had asked for help. About half of the reidents we assisted were deaf and it was a fun challenge to figure out how to communicate with them!
