Follow-up to the Texas Teacher Preparation Conference
Several things happened as a result of the conference. Here are some of the actions taken by the Texas Section.
Both the Texas sections of APS and AAPT voted to endorse the AIP statement on the preparation of teachers that was discussed at the conference. The vote occurred during the section meetings that followed the conference.
Both sections also voted to endorse a second conference. The conference will be held January 9-10, 2003 at Southwest Texas State University.
The Texas Section of AAPT voted to have more professional development activities at section meetings.
After the conference, participants were asked to relate via e-mail what they were doing as a consequence of the conference. Some of their responses can be found here.
