Important Notes for Submitting a Preprint

bulletPolymer Preprints only accepts electronic submissions. Hardcopy submission is no longer supported.
bulletAbstracts and preprints must be submitted through OASys, the ACS Online Abstract Submittal System. The abstract must be submitted first, at which point a record number is assigned to the paper. The preprint is then submitted as a word processing file under the same record number (this ensures that the abstract and preprint are linked).
bulletUpon abstract submission, a record number will be assigned, which must be used to submit a preprint (this ensures that abstract and preprint are linked).
bulletThe preprint will be automatically converted into PDF format upon submission. This PDF document is viewable by the authors. Until the preprint submission close date, the authors may re-transmit as many revised drafts as necessary until the PDF document conforms to the required preprint format. After preprint submission close date, the PDF file will be reviewed online by the Symposium Organizer. The authors may be invited to re-submit a corrected preprint at this time. Upon approval by the organizer, the preprint file will be forwarded to the preprint editors for final acceptance.

Publication Date. Polymer Preprints is now available in both CD, hardcopy, and electronic (Internet) editions. CDs are mailed out about three to four weeks before the national meeting. The Internet edition may appear on the World Wide Web  earlier. The formal publication date, i.e., when the contents are first made available to the public, will be either the release date of the Internet edition or the date the CD volume is delivered to the post office, whichever is earlier. This date will be posted prominently on the website and will be printed on the title page of the hardcopy volume.

Questions. Any questions concerning preprint preparation should be directed to Jamie Holden, Polymer Preprints Editorial Coordinator (512)245-9099.

Preprint Content. Time does not permit complete editing of the submitted manuscripts. Therefore, the content and quality of each paper are the responsibility of the authors. The Polymer Division, Preprints Editors, Program Committee, etc., assume no responsibility for the statements and opinions advanced by contributors.
