Formatting Guidelines

Preprint should be formatted just like the sample preprint available here.

**Please note changes in the formatting guidelines are in red.

bulletPreprint Length. The entire preprint, including tables and figures must not exceed 4 columns (2 pages) in length and must be a minimum of two columns (1 page).
bulletPaper Size. The paper size must be 8 1/2" X 11".  No other formats/sizes (such as A4) are publishable.
bulletFooter. PLEASE DO NOT INSERT FOOTER:  It will automatically be inserted during the publication process.
bulletColumns. Preprint must display 2-column format: each column 3.5" wide with 0.3" between. Minimum 2 columns (1 page).
bulletMarginsMargins must be:  left, right 0.6", top 0.8", bottom 1.1"
bulletTitle. Title must be boldface, 8 pt, all caps, centered. Authors names should be non-boldface, italicized. Name of presenting authors should not be underlined.
bulletFontFont must be Times New Roman, 8 pt (Title and major headings 8 pt).
bulletIndentation. Indentation must be 0.25".
bulletTitle and authors. Title/authors (content) of preprint and abstract must be exactly the same.
bulletAll Papers should contain the following headings:

                Introduction

                Experimental

                Results and Discussion

                Conclusions

                Acknowledgments (if any)

                References

bulletReferences (Endnotes). References must be formatted correctly (as per example preprint), and entered as endnotes at the very end of the manuscript.
bulletFigures and Graphics. All Figures must be readable and positioned within the margins (authors should use "In line with text" option; i.e., not "float over text"). Figure caption format should match exactly that in the sample preprint.
bulletTables. Each table should have a number and heading (centered in boldface) that appear above the table.
